Privacy Policy

KCalm (“the app”) is a calorie tracking app made by Mad Over Tech. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your log belongs to you, stays on your device and in your private iCloud, and we never see it.

Data you create in the app

Meals, workouts, calories, notes, tags, goals and reminder settings are stored:

On your device, in the app’s local database.
In your private iCloud database (CloudKit), if iCloud is enabled on your device. This storage is tied to your Apple ID; Mad Over Tech has no access to it. Apple’s iCloud terms and security apply.

We operate no servers and have no account system. We cannot read, receive, sell, or share your log — it never reaches us.

Apple Health (optional)

If you enable workout import, KCalm asks for read-only access to workouts in Apple Health. Imported workouts are stored in your log like any other entry (on device + your private iCloud). Health data is never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never leaves your devices except through your own iCloud sync. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → Health.

Advertising

KCalm shows a small banner ad served by Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob may collect device identifiers, coarse ad-performance data and diagnostics to serve and measure ads. Your log data (meals, calories, workouts, health data) is never shared with advertisers.

In the EEA/UK, KCalm shows a consent form (Google UMP) before any ad is loaded; you can change your choice anytime in More → Ad privacy.
KCalm does not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency tracking; ads are served without cross-app tracking by us.

Data export & deletion

Export: More → Export lets you save your entire log as CSV or JSON at any time.
Delete: More → Erase all data permanently deletes every entry from the device and, via sync, from your private iCloud. Deleting the app removes local data; iCloud data can be managed in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.

Children

KCalm is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
